Walker, Ralph R.

The Newton Kansan

Ralph H. Walker, 73, 611 East 7th, Newton, died Monday at the Halstead Hospital. He was born August 21, 1901 in Pettigrew, Arkansas, the son of William and Callie Walker. He came to Newton from McPherson in 1954.

He was a retired restaurant owner and operator. He was a army Veteran of World War II and was a member of the American Quarter Horse, Association.

Survivors: Widow, Leona; two sons, Don, Halstead and Robert, Hesston; one sister, Mrs. Ruth Tompkins, Tulsa, Oklahoma; one brother, Paul, Avoca, Iowa; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Services will be held Thursday in Petersen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gerald Housh of the First Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

A memorial has been established with the American Cancer Society.
