Obituary

Miller T. Welch, 71, 425 West 5th, Newton, died unexpectedly this morning. He was born March 24, 1904 in Sacramento, California. He came to Newton from California 32 years ago. He was a retired employe of the Santa Fe. Railroad. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

He married Merle Emily George June 23, 1940 in Los Angeles, California. She died May 8, 1973.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Anrita Wilva, Los Angeles; one son, Charles M. of the home; two sisters, Mrs. Lois Bierig and Mrs. Pat Hardin, both of Van Nuys, California and one grandson.

Services will be held Monday in Petersen Funeral Home with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery.
