Newton Kansan, Wednesday, June 17, 1981

Mrs. Vivian Brown, 67, Newton Rt. 1, a lifelong resident of the Newton area, died Tuesday at the Westview Nursing home at Derby.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Petersen's Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Phillip Lamar officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

She was born July 21, 1913, in Newton, the daughter of Fred and Louise Prouty. On October 1, 1940, she married William C. Brown. He died in 1976. She worked for Central Securities of Newton for several years and was a retired employee of First Federal Savings and Loan of Wichita.
