Marvin R. Stubby, 86, retired maintenance engineer for Cities Service Gas, died Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at Norman Regional Hospital, Norman, Oklahoma. He was born July 15, 1924 at Leigh, Kansas to Andrew and Helena Kliewer Stubby.

He was a WWII U.S. Army veteran serving in the European Theater. He was a member of Burrton United Methodist Church, Burrton American Legion Post #196 and was a member of Burrton Masonic Lodge.

On October 21, 1944 he married Norma Jene Turner at Burrton. She preceded him in death on January 12, 2002.

Survivors: sons, Harold (Jolene) Stubby, Burlington; Robert (Pam) Stubby, Burrton; Rick (Georgia) Stubby, Newton; daughter, Rae Jene (Lee) Beadles, Alabaster, Alabama; nine grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. He was opreceded in death by brothers, Chester, LaVerne and Virgil Stubby and Sisters, Joan McElwain and Darlene Floyd.

Graveside services were held Monday at the Burrton Cemetery.
