Ellen E. McBurney Ruth, who gave birth to a daughter on September 1884, died. She was born on the old farm four miles north of Halstead in 1884. She married Elmer D. Ruth in 1907. They moved here this summer from a claim in Texas County, Oklahoma, when her husband engaged in the photograph business here. The funeral was held at the Methodist church where two pastors spoke in English and one in German. Survirors: father, three brothers, two small children.
