Mrs. D. S. March, born Elmira Friend in Illinois on October 30, 1848 died January 31, 1910 at Halstead, Kansas. She came to Kansas 1876 and was married at the old farm home in Garden Township. She was a Methodist. She is survived by her husband, two adopted children, five brothers and two sisters. Burial was in Halstead Cemetery.
