Obituary

Mrs. Barbara B. Hughes, 88, lifelong resident of Halstead died Wednesday, December 26, at Halstead Nursing Center after a long illness.

She was born April 11, 1885 in Halstead and married Clarence E. Hughes on July 16, 1905 at Halstead. Her parents were Joseph and Elizabeth Seitz Berger.

Survivors: three sons: R. D. and Calvin, both of Halstead and Alton of Monte Vista, Colorado; one half sister, Mrs. Ella Bahr of Walton; six grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.

Services were held December 29, at Kaufman Funeral Chapel with John H. Hastings officiating. Burial was in Halstead Cemetery.
