Obituary

Mrs. Estella D. Hoffman, 92, Halstead, died September 1, 1982 at the Bethel Home for the Aged, Newton, after a short illness. She was born Estella D. Steele October 16, 1889 at Dean Lake, Missouri. She married Charles C. Hoffman October 7, 1912 at Newton. He died August 23, 1965. She had been a Halstead resident since 1912. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Newton.

Survivors: sons, Milburn Fleetwood and William Hoffman, both of Halstead; and Duane Hoffman, Coldwater; daughters, Dorothy Talbert and Genevieve McCann, both of Newton; Mary Pierce, Hot Springs, South Dakota; 20 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Friday, September 3, at Kaufman Chapel, Halstead. Burial will be in Halstead cemetery.
