Obituary

Florence M. Hughes, 68, a Halstead resident for 50 years, died Thursday, February 3, 1983 at St. Mary's Hospital, Enid, Oklahoma. Services will be Tuesday at Kaufman Chapel, Halstead, with the Rev. Gary D. Cox officiating. Burial will be at Halstead Cemetery.

She was born Florence Blake on March 6, 1914 at Newton and married Reginald O. Hughes on January 20, 1941 in Newkirk, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on July 25, 1974.

Survivors: two sons, Ronald Houser of Colwich and James Houser of Vallejo, California; daughter, Carol Mizner of Fairmont, Oklahoma; 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Memorials have been established with the American Lung Association of Kansas.
