Obituary

Hazel M. Keller, 70, Halstead, died March 1, 1985 at her rural Halstead home. She was born August 4, 1914 at Altus, Oklahoma, the daughter of John F. and Minnie Kissick Baumann. She married Cecil W. Keller October 30, 1938 at Newton. He died September 24, 1978. She was a retired registered nurse and had been a resident of Halstead for 50 years.

She was a member of the First Mennonite Church, Friendship EHU, YWCA, Halstead Nurses Alumni Association and the Cemetery Association, all of Halstead.

Survivors: three sons; Jerry J., Halstead; John B. Fort Collins, Colorado and Cecil Don, Hutchinson; one daughter, Karen S. (Mrs. Gary) Stahl, Halstead; one brother, John F. Baumann, Newton; two sisters, Lela Sherwood, Wichita and Margaret Bates, Headrick, Oklahoma and seven grandchildren.

Services were held Tuesday morning at the church with the Rev. John Baeddert and the Rev. Robert Suderman. Burial was in the Halstead Cemetery. Memorials to the church of Harvey County Hospice.
