Obituary

Bernice Marie Wedel, 25, Halstead, died Tuesday December 10, 1985 of injuries received in a motor vehicle accidfent about five miles east of Hutchinson on Highway 50.

She was born April 1, 1960 at Newton, Kansas, daughter of Vernon D. and Maureen L. Kenworthy Wedel. She was a graduate of Halstead High School, Hutchinson Community Junior College and Wichita State University. A lifetime resident of Halstead, Miss Wedel was employed as an administrative assistant for Saxton, Inc., Hutchinson. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Halstead.

Survivors include her parents, Vernon and Maureen Wedel; two brothers, Dale, Laramie, Wyoming and Maurice, Halstead; maternal grandparents, Maurice and Evaline Kenworthy, Las Animas, Colorado; a paternal grandfather, Jacob J. Wedel, a resident of Memorial Home, Moundridge, and her fiance, Steve Ewy, rural Halstead.
