Obituary

Harlan R. Friesen, 63, Halstead, died Sunday, August 10, 1986 at St. Mary's Health Center, Jefferson City, Missouri as a result of injuries received in a truck accident on August 5, near Jefferson City. He was born February 13, 1923 at Halstead, son of John E. and Marie Ewy Friesen. He attended rural School District 34 and was a 1941 graduate of Halstead High School. He married Bertha K. Quiring August 10, 1945 at Goessel. He was a welding repair man and a lifelong resident of the Halstead area. He was a member of the Hesston Inter-Mennonite Fellowship Church of Hesston, Kansas.

Survivors: wife of the home; two sons, John, of the home and David, Halstead; one daughter, Jean, Killeen, Texas; one brother, Kenneth of California and a sister, Velma Broz, Marion, Kansas.

The funeral service will be Friday morning, August 16 at the church at 505 S. Ridge Road, Hesston. Private burial in the Halstead Cenetery. Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead, will be in charge of arrangements.
