Obituary

Bernadine "Bernie" Rickman, 55, of 420 East First, retired Newton Medical Center nurse aid, died July 19, 1992 at her home. She was born May 20, 1937 in Garfield to Pascual and Basilia Chavez Viegra. She married Keith W. Rickman December 17, 1971 in Newton. He survives. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadaulpe Catholic Church.

Survivors: Husband of the home; four sons, Aron Hall of Sparks, Nevada; Oscar J. Hall Jr., Wichita; Sam Hall, Newton; two daughters; Pat Duncan and Celeste Ybarra, both of Newton; her mother, Basilia of Hutchinson; six brothers, Robert of Topeka; Alex and Frank of Hutchinson; Joe of Larned; Benny of LaCrosse and Richard of Marysville; four sisters, Sanjuana Castor of Chicago; Lile Perez and Frances Earegood of Larned and Julia Castaneda of Lewis; four grandchildren. One son, Mark Hall of Newton preceded her in death.

Services will be Wednesday at the church with burial in the Greenwood cemetery.
