Obituary

Martha E. Simonson, 98, North Newton, former Halstead resident, died Thursday December 29, 1994 at Kidron Bethel Retirement Home, North Newton. She was born Novembe 27, 1896 at Parkston, South Dakota, the daughter of George and Bertha Falk Baum. A North Newton resident for the past six years, she was a homemaker and a housemother for the former Halstead Hospital School of Nursing. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Halstead.

On September 9, 1920, she married Roy E. Simonson at Sedgwick. He died August 30, 1960. Survivors: daughter, Faye Osborn, Sedgwick; 13 grandchildren; 20 great grandchileren and 3 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three daughters, Jean McFarland, Dorothy Campbell and Norma Berry.

Funeral will be December 31 at Kaufman Funeral Home. Halstead. Burial will be in the Halstead Cemetery.
