Obituary

Vera Regier, 85, Halstead, died Tuesday, January 6, 1996 at Halstead Hospital. She was born June 16, 1910 at Gotebo, Oklahoma, the daughter of Aaron and Mary Dalke Warkentin. A resident of Halstead since 1937, she was a retired public school teacher and librarian. She was a member of the First Mennonite Church and Helianthos Sr., both of Halstead.

On May 2, 1941, she married Richard L. Regier at Burrton. He survives. Other survivors, include sons, John Regier, Washington, D. C. and Barton Regier, Burrton; daughter Susan Marie Regier, Washington, D. C.; brothers, Ralph Waldo Warkentin, Yukon, Oklahoma and L. C. Warkentin, Enid, Oklahoma; and grandchildren, Larry and Sharon Finley, Kansas City, Missouri; Joe Regier, Joshua and Kevin Finley, Burrton, John Barton Regier, Lawrence and Christa M. Finley, Pittsburg.

Funeral services will be Friday January 12 at the First Mennonite Church. Family buriual will be in the Halstead Cemetery.
