Obituary

Geneieve McCann, 88, Buhler, formerly of Halstead, died Thursday, June 13, 1996 at Buhler Sunshine Home, Buhler. She was born February,19, 1908 in Kansas City, Kansas, the daughter of Jim and Stella Steel Fleetwood. She was a 1927 graduate of Halstead High School. A Halstead and Newton area resident for most of her life, before moving to Buhler Sunshine Home, she was a homemaker and seamstress. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Newton.

She married Leo McCnn on August of 1928. He died October of 1982.

Survivors: two daughters, Bonnie Hughes, Newton and Edith Knott, Hutchinson; brother, Duane Hoffman, Coldwater; sister, Dorothy Talbert, Newton; five grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Gilbert Hoffman, Milburn Fleetwood and William Hoffman and a grandson, Kevin Hughes.

Funeral was held Monday, June 17, at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel, Newton. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery, Newton.
