Obituary

Tillman Martin Rodgers, 88, 115 1/2 E. 2nd, Newton, died Novemmber 6, 1996 at Newton Medical Center. He was retired after 23 years of employment at Boeing Aircraft Company.

He was born March 25, 1908 to John Robert Rodgers and Eleanor Ferguson Rodgers in Zimmerdale. He worked for many years in bridge construction. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Newton. On January 5, he moved from his home to Kansas Christian Home. He was a lifetime resident of Newton.

Survivors: two sons, Dennis Rodgers, Wichita and Gardy Rodgers of Los Angeles, California; three daughters, Leva Bickford, San Bruno, California; Sue Stewart, Wichita and Karen Nikkel of Lehigh; onw brother, Walter Rodgers of Florence and one sister, Bertha Zook, Hesston; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; four great greaat grandchildren, seven step grandchildren; and one step great grandchild.
