Obituary

Helen Regier Ratzlaff, 101, Halstead, died Friday, April 25, 1997 at Columbia Halstead Hospital in Halstead. She was born December 23, 1895 at Hillsboro, the daughter of John and Maria Penner Dalke. She was a resident of Halstead since 1962, moving from Burrton. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Mennonite Church in Halstead.

On May 9, 1918 she married Ed F. Regier at Gotebo, Oklahoma. He died November 22, 1940. On August 23, 1946 she married John Ratzlaff. He died in 1962.

Survivors: sons: Wilbert D. Regier, Wichita and Edwin R. Regier, Burrton; daughters, Evelyn Dick Adler, Newton and Verda Lee Johnson, Halstead; stepson, Eldon Ratzlaff, Wichita; stepdaughters, Virgie Enns, Colorado Springs, Colorado; and Naomi Winsky, Lindsborg; 12 grandchildren; 17 step-grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 41 step-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a stepson, Wilbur Ratzlaff.

Graveside service was held Tuesday, April 29 at Burrton Cemetery.
