Obituary

Dorothy Louise Ross, 68, died February 224, 1998 at the Halstead Hospital. She was born July 23, 1929 at Halstead, daughter of Otto and Freida Wiebe Huebert. She graduated from Halstead High School in 1947 and Halstead School of Nursing in 1950. After retiring from Halstead Hospital where she had worked as a nurse, she was a homemaker on the farm northwest of Halstead she shared with her husband. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the UMW, Halstead and served as chairperson of the church dinners committee for many years.

She married Robert Ross on June 24, 150 at Arkansas City. He survives: Other survivors: four sons; Robert Ross, Augusta; Tom Ross and Tim Ross, both of Halstead and Alan Ross, Council Grove; two brothers, Kurt Huebert and Jim Huebert, both of Halstead and a sister, Margaret Ann Brown, Wichita; six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Huebert and a sister, Trudy Gingrass.

Services will be Friday, February 27 at the church. Burial will be in the Halstead Cemetery.
