Obituary

Arthur "Shorty" Keller, 90, Halstead, died Monday, December 14, 1998 at Schowalter Villa, Hesston. He was born June 1, 1908 at Halstead, the son of Jacob and Katherine Berger Keller. A lifelong Halstead resident, moving to Schowalter Villa this past year, he was a retired farmer. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Halstead.

He married Neva Lehmann at Anthony on January 18, 1933. She survives. Other survivors: a son, Robert Keller and wife Charlotte, Halstead; daughters, Katherine Ewy and husband Forrest, Halstead; and Carol Nightingale and husband, Vernon, Carneigie, Oklahoma; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Oliver, Raymond and Cecil; two sisters, Hattie Keller and Irene Baumann; an infant son and a grandson.

Funeral was held Wednesday, December 16, at Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead. Burial was in the Halstead Cemetery.
