Obituary

Wilana Wasinger, 73, Halsted, died Saturday, October 24, 1998 at Kidron Bethel Nursing Center, North Newton, Kansas. She was born July 22, 1925 at Southard, Oklahomaa, the daughter of Elmer Lloyd and Kate Barnard Orr. A lifetime resident of Halstead, she was the retired owner and operator of Wasinger's Care in Halstead and a Halstead Hospital receptionist.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and Halstead Hospital Auxiliary, all at Halstead and Order of the Eastern Star, Coldwater, Kansas. She was also trustee for the Halstead Cemetery Association.

She married Felix Wasinger at Coldwater on July 27, 1945. He died February 12, 1988. Survivors: son, Jeff Wasinger, Mansfield, Texas; daughter, Jan Moody, Wichita; sister, Wanda Meyer, Tulsa, Oklahoma and four grandchildren.

Services were held at First Methodist Church on October 27. Burial was in Halstead Cemetery.
