Obituary

Noah Koehn, 81, Halstead, died Sunday July 29, 2001 at Mercy Hospital in Moundridge. He was born August 12, 1919 at Halstead, the son of Jacob T. and Nettie Unruh Koehn. He was a reetired farmer and dairyman. He was a member of the Grace Mennonite Church of Halstead.

He married Lorene B. Schmidt on October 27, 1940 at Halstead. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include; four sons, Raleigh Koehn, Loren Koehn and Vincent Koehn, all of Halstead and Norbert Koehn, Winfield; two daughters, Marilyn Barkman, Steinbach, Manitoba, Canada and Barbara Decker, DeRidder, Louisiana; three brothers, Menno Koehn, Moundridge; Allen Koehn and Harley Koehn, both of Halstead; three sisters, Ada Nightingale, Chickasha, Oklahoma; Eileen Cyck, DeRidder, Louisiana and Vera Schmidt, Dumas, Arkansas; 18 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Lucas Koehn and Otis Koehn; a son, Neil Koehn and a daughter, Neila Koehn.

Services will be held Thursday August 2, 2001 at Grace Mennonite Church with Ministers Kenneth Smith, Dean Becker and Stanley Wiggers presiding. Burial will be in the Halstead Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Gospel Tract and Bible Society in care of the funeral home.
