Obituary

Aaron Figge Kaufman, 73, Ocala, Florida, former Halstead resident of 55 years, died Tuesday, November 20, 2001 at Sylvia's Hospice House, Ocala, Florida. He was born May 14, 1938 at Medicine Lodge, the son of Hereb H. and Eleanor L. Figge Kaufman. He was the funeral director and owner/operator of Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead.

He married Marilyn Joyce Cox on August 27, 1961 at Derby. She survives of the home.

He served in the U.S. Army; was a member and president of the Congretational of our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Ocala, Florida; former member and officer of the Halstead Lion's Club and former member and president of the Halstead Library Board in Halstead.

Other survivors include three sons; Von Kaufman, Halstead; Peter Kaufman, Newton and Andre' Kaurman, Kansas City, Missouri; two sisters, Cheri Henrie, Halstead and Cinda Dick, Phoenix, Arizona and eight grandchildren.

Services were Friday November 23, 2001 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Ocala with Pastor Ron Mueller officiating and Wednesday, November 28, 2001 at Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead with Rev. James Mardock presiding. Burial was in Halstead Cemetery.
