Obituary

Orville Ira Haury, 93, farmer, died Wednesday January 15, 2003 at Halstead Health and Rehabilitation. He was born October 5, 1909 to Edwin John and Susie Ida Schmitt Haury in Halstead. They preceded him in death. He married Lucretia Jane Parker April 25, 1934 in Halstead. She survives.

He was a member of First Mennonite Church and the Halstead Masonic Lodge. He was a 1927 graduate of Halstead High School and a 1931 graduate of K-State.

Other survivors: son, Kent Haury, Oklahoma City; daughter, Janelle Karras, Halstead; sister, Hilda Goering, Mouondridge; four grandchildren and six great grand children.

He was also preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Haury Roberts.

Funeral services will be Moanday at the Church with the Rev. Cleo Koop officiating. Burial will be in the Halstead Cemetery.
