Mildred L. Bryant, 83, a Burrton resident since 1936 died Sunday, February 22, 2004 at Halstead Health and Rehabilitation. She was born June 9, 1920 at Mammoth, Missouri, the daughter of Charles Wallace and Bertha Gertrude Mullins Harrison. She married Paul R. Bryant April 20, 1938 at Salina. She was a bookkeeper for Bryant Sand and Gravel, Burrton. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star; Aurora Club, and Modern Homemakers and served as secretary-greasurer of the Coon Dog Field Trial Association.

Survivors: her husband, Paul of the home; son, Ron Bryant and his wife, Pat, Burrton; daughter, Sharon Bauman and her husband, Allen, Burrton; brother, Herman Harrison, Hutchinson; two sisters Gladys Veatch, Manteca, California and Gwendolyn Lockhart, Alexandria, Virginia; daughter-in-law, Marti Bryant Blick, Pocatello, Idaho; 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son Conrad Bryant and two great granddaughters, Andrea Perkins and Ashley Baumann.

Funeral services were held at the Burrton Methodist Church February 25. Burial was in Burrton Cemetery.
