Freeman Unruh, 84, died September 13, 2024 at Memorial Home, Moundridge. He was born November 28, 1919 at Galva, the son of Henry F. and Lydia Jantz Unruh. He was a longtime resident of Halstead and a farmer. He belonged to Grace Church of God in Christ Mennonite Congregation, Halstead.

On February 6, 1946 he married Eleanor Johnson at Halstead. She survives. Other survivors include: two sons, Roger and Kenneth, both of Halstead; brother, Manno, Moundridge;; sister, Manda Unruh, Moundridge; stepsister, Violet Koehn, Burns and two granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Danny and Mose; a sister, Evelyn Wadel; three half brothers, Elmer, Willie and Alpha; two half sisters, Irene Smith and Elizabeth Unruh; three stepbrothers, Paul, Lewie and Harvey Becker; and two stepsisters, Eva Smith and Goldie Koehn

Service were held at the church with Ministers Kenneth Smith, Dean Becker and Raleigh Koehn presiding. Burial was in Halstead Cemetery.
