Obituary

Gloria J. Gleason, 81, of Halstead, died October 23, 2005 at Newton Medical Center. She was born September 22, 1924 at Parsons, the daughter of Charles O. and Hannah V. McCormick Richardson. Both preceded her in death.

She married Harold B. Gleason on January 5, 1943 at Rantoul, Illinois. He preceded her in death February 10. 1993.

She was a secretary for Harris Lumber Yard and Idaho Timber both of Halstead. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Halstead; Daughters of the American Revolution and Helianthos.

Survivors: daughters: Kathy Dextradeur, Wichita; Cindy McCammon, Kansas City, Missouri; and Julie Jones, Kearney, Missouri; 10 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son, Charles Gleason; and a grandson, Josh Gleason.

Rosary was at Kaufman Funeral home on October 26. The graveside service followed at Halstead Cemetery with Father Thomas Wai officiation.
