Obituary

Leona M. Robuck, 85, died June 11, 2006 at Newton Medical Center. She was born February 12, 1920 in Drumright, Oklahoma, the daughter of Havilah and Ollie S. Mitchell Hockett. A resident of Halstead since 1936, she was a preschool teacher and a homemaker.

Se belonged to First United Methodist Church and UMW, both of Halstead. She was a former member of Grand Matron Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter No. 5 of Newton and Elks Lodge of Newton.

She married Kenneth E. Robuck in Halstead on February 9, 1940. He died September 27, 1999.

Survivors: son, Kenneth Jr., San Juan Capistrano, California; three sisters, Ruth Curtis, Everett, Washington; Norma Jean Dorris, Canton, Missouri and Lois Brown, Las Vegas; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Funeral will be Wednesday, June 22 at the church with Pastor Bill Riffee residing. Burial will be in the Halstead Cemetery.
