Stucky, Marjorie

Marjorie M. Stucky, 86, "Peppernut Lady" passed away Tuesday, Marach 31, 2009 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. She was born November 21, 1922, daughter of Abe and Wilda Steele Unruh. On December 23, 1942 she married Kenneth Stucky in Halstead. He preceded her in death. She is famoous for her pepper nuts that she sold year around and will be remembered for all the good cooking she has always done. She was an avid bingo player and played at the Moose club in Hutchinson and at 101 Club. She always cherished every card and visit from her grandkids. They were all special to her. Survivors: daughther, Virginia and husband, Forrest Faris, Newton, Son Kirby Stucky, Sedgwick, Son, Kenny and wife Ruth of Burrton. She was preceded in death by sister, Mildred Consisine, brothers, Gene, Harold and Hereb Unruh, son Keith Stucky and her great grandson, Chase Stucky. Funeral service was Monday at First Mennonite Church in Halstead with Pastor Cleo Koop officiateing. Burial was at Halstead Cemetery.
