Obituary

Harlin E. Holdeman, 83, died Monday, June 22, 2009 at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, Wichita. He was born July 23, 1925 at Rich Hill, Missouri to Joseph and Esther Dorothy Luginbill Holdeman.

A longtime Halstead resident, he was a 1942 graduate of Halstead High School. He then served in tue U.S. Army Air Force during World War II. He was an electrical design engineer for Boeing Aircraft in Wichita and Seattle.

He married Marjorie Eleanor Armstrong on December 23, 1945 at Halstead. She preceded him in death October 7, 2000.

Survivors: son, Greg Holdeman, Bozeman, Montana; daughters; Marsha Holdeman, Halstead; Sharlyn Thode, Sterling; brothers; Bill Holdeman, Marion; Willis D. Holdeman, Goddard; and Kenneth Holdeman, Lees Summit, Missouori; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Morris and Lacy and a sister, Twila Holdeman.

Funeral service will be Friday at Kaufman Funeral home with Rev. Jennifer Whitt officiating. Burial will follow at the Halstead Cemetery.
