Obituary

Helen Barbara Vacariu, 89,, retired registered nurse at Hertzler Clinic and Halstead Hospital died Thursday, July 15, 1020 at Halstead Health and Rehabilitation. She was born June 13, 1921 at Newton to Leslie and Ann Fadtke Overstreet. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sacred Heart Altar Society and Legion of Mary and was a catechism teacher.

She married John Vacariu on August 28, 1943 at Newton. He passed away February 28, 2002.

Survivors: daughters, Susan (Clarence) Swanson, Monroe, Ohio; Mary Ann (Larry) Bumm, Halstead; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

She was preceded by brothers, James and Thomas Overstreet. Cremation has taken place. The Rosary was Sunday July 18 at the church and burial was at Halstead Cemetery.
