Obituary

Francis Omar Forbes, 87, Hutchinson, died April 4, 1990 at Golden Plains Nursing Center, Hutchinson. He was born May 12, 1902 at Ridgefarm, Illinois, the son of John W. and Ethel Smith Forbes. He married Rachel Larrance July 30, 1927 at Danville, Illinois. She died June 6 1941. He then married Marian E. Foree, August 7, 1941. He was the retired owner of Forbes Seervice Station in Hutchinson.

Survivors: wife of the home; one son, John Forbes, Gainsville, Georgia; two daughters, Ruth Robertson, Hutchinson and Mary Ziegler, Olathe; one sister, Olive Corkill, Valley Center; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Services were held April 7 at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial was in the Halstead Cemetery next to his parents, the Late Mr. & Mrs. J. W. Forbes and his first wife.
