Obituary

Helen Foushee, 86, Newton, died February 6, 1990 at Friendly Acres Retirement Community, Newton. She was born April 1, 1903 at Sedgwick, the daughter of Mack and Cora Nolder Walker. She married Louis W. Foushee October 17, 1934 at Marion, Kansas. He died December 4, 1960. She was a retired clerk at the Harvey House in Newton.

She was a memberof St. Matthew's Espiscopal Church; Order of Eastern Star No. 5; National Association of Retired and Veteran Railway Employees No. 2349; Unit 4 Railroad Trainmen Auxiliary; the So and Sew Club; the Toltec Club and the Ceramic Club, all of Newton.

Survivors: two nieces, Cora Kehl, Valley Center; and Winifred McGlaughlin, Emporia.

Services were February 9 at the Church with the Rev. Michael Combs. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery. Memorials to the American Diabetes Association.
