Obituary

Edward A. Furlong, 27, a former Halstead resident, died July 12, 1990 at St. Frances Regional Medical Center in Wichita. He was born January 10, 1964 at Rahway, New Jersey, the son of Edward and Barbara Madajewski Furlong. A graduate of Halstead High School, he had been a resident of Newton for four years. He was a laborer. He was a member of the Catholic Church.

Survivors: son, Ryan Andrew Furlong, Newton; parents, three sisters, Kelly Unruh, Deanna Taylor and Michele Furlong, all of Halstead; grandparents, Leo and Viola Madajewski, Carteret, New Jersey and Walter and Elizabeteh Djellak Sayreville, New Jersey.

A funeral mass was held Monday morning at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Halstead with the Rev. Jerome Beat conducting the service. Burial was in the Halstead Cemetery.
