Obituary

Susan Johnson, 89, former Halstead resident, died August 9, 1990 at Moundridge Manor in Moundridge, Kansas. She was born March 5, 1901 at Halstead, the daughter of John A. and Eva Koehn Johnson. Susan and her sister Ina cared for their parents and maintained the family farm south of Halstead until their parents died in the mid 1950's. They then resided in Halstead until moving to the Moundridge Manor in late 1989. Miss Johnson was a homemaker. She was a member of Grace Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, rural Halstead, being baptized in 1916.

Survivors: brother, Victor R. Johnson, Kansas City, Missouri and two sisters, Ina Johnson, a resident of Moundridge Manor and Johanna Litwiller, Perrington, Michigan.

Services were held August 13 at the church with ministers Dean Becker and Raleigh Koehn. Burial was in the Halstead Cemetery.
