Obituary

Susan L. Highley Rich, 89, a resident of the Regency Health Care Center, Halstead, died May 7, 1990 at Newton Medical Center. She was born June 15, 1900 in Vinita, Oklahoma, daughter of Charles M. and Hattie M. Washburn Ferguson. She married Albert A. Rich on April 23, 1942 in Los Angeles, California. He died in 1969. She was a homemaker. She was a member of First Church of the Hazaarene, Newton.

Survivors:a son, Virgil M. Highley, Bell, Florida; two daughters, Mary Foster and Sue Williams, both of Newton; one sister, Mary Stephenson, Hemet, California; 12 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter, two brothers and two sisters.

Graveside services were held May 10 at Greenwood Cemetery, Newton with Pastor Doug Ward.
