Obituary

Alvin G. Robinson, 68, Newton, Kansas, owner of Robinson's Mattress Outlet, Newton, died Wednesday November 21, 1990 at Newton Medical Center.

He was born January 17, 1922 in Pickens, South Carolina, the son of Thomas A. and Olivia E. Sanders Robinson. He married M. Margaret Garrett September 12, 1939 at West Greenville, South Carolina. He had been a resident of Newton since 1956. He was a member of San's F.O.E. Lodge No 284, Greenville, South Carolina.

Survivors: wife of the home; daughter, Peg Johnson, Newton; sister, Willice McCoy, Greenville, South Carolina; half-brother, James B. Smith, Beaumont, Texas; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Services were held Monday at Draper-Cannon Funeral Home, Newton. Burial was in Restlawn Gardens of Memory, rural Newton. Memorials to American Heart Association of American Cancer Society.
