Obituary

Harold C. Wandschneider, 84, Moundridge, former Halstead resident, died September 9, 1990 at Veterans Administraction Medical Denter, Wichita. He was born July 3, 1906 at Grookfield, Wisconsin, son of George and Mary Svehlek Wandschneider. A resident of Moundridge for 8 years, formerly of Halstead and McPherson, he was a retired maintenance worker and mechanic.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Moundridge; the Moose Lodge, Hutchinson; Veterans of Foreign Wars, Newton; American Legion Post 231, Halstead and Forty and Eight.

He married Millie Durkee at Port Washington, Wisconsin on March 24, 1948. She died February 1, 1965. He married Grace A Tatro August 12, 1967 at Burlington, Kansas. She survives.

Other survivors: step-daughter, Darlene Buchler, Moundridge; stepson, Bill Tatro, Newton; brother, Clarence Wandschneider, Milwaukee; two sisters, Martha Jansen, Wild Rose, Wisconsin and Betti Fachnel Waukesha, Wisconsin; seven step-grandchildren and 16 step great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Thursday morning at Kaufman Funeral Home. Burial will be in Halstead Cemetery.
