Obituary

Clarence R. Whittle, 84, Sedgwick, died April 8, 1990 at Halstead Hospital. He was born March 90, 1906 at rural Bentley, the son of Oliver and Minnie Owens Whittle. He married Estelle Leichhardt June 15, 1927 at Wichita. He was a retired signal man for the Santa Fe Railroad. He was a member of the Sedgwick United Methodist Church and the Brotherhood of the Maintenance Way.

Survivors: two sons, Gary Whittle, St. Mary's Kansas and Gene Whittle, Sedgwick; three daughters, Vivian McNeill and Ann Spencer, both of Newton; and Connie Speer, Clearwater; one brother, Charles Whittle, Bentley; two sisters, Olive Logue, Wichita and May White, rural Sedgwick; 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Services were held Tuesday at the Church. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery, Sedgwick.
