Obituary

Ida B. Dickerson, 92, Newton, mother of Irene Stone, Sedgwick, Kansas, died January 17, 1991 at Friendly Acres Retirement Community, Newton. She was born February 6, 1898 at Burns, Kansas the daughter of Gerhard and Christina Gesing Lefert. She married Thomas D. Dickerson June 3, 1930 at Burns. He died January 8, 1972. She was a homemaker and had been a resident of Newton since 1935.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the church Altar Society, both of Newton.

Other survivors: a son, Robert Dickerson, Turon, Kansas; sister, Frances Gardner, Rossie, New York; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

The rosary was said Monday Jan 20 at the Draper-Cannon Funeral Home Chapel, Newton. The funeral mass was Tuesday at the church. Burial was in the church cemetery.
