Walton Goode

Walton E. Goode, 91, resident of Halstead since 1948 died Saturday, October 19, 1991 at the Friendly Acres Retirement Community, Newton. He was born March 12, 1900 at Las Cruces, New Mexico, the son of John W. and Velette Schee Goode. He was a retired business manaager for the Heretzler Clinic in Halstad.

He was a member of the First United Methodist and a life member of the American Legion and the Halstead Masonic Lodge. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War I.

He married Eunice L. Abbott on May 28, 1925 at Alden, Kansas. She died May 17, 1988. Survivors: four grandchildren; David Miller, Granite City, Illinois; Aaron Stafford and Rebecca Stafford, both of Los Angeles, California and Melora Stafford. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Elenor.

Services were held at the First United Methodist Church with Burial in the Halstead Cemetery.
