Obituary

Lois L. Hoffer, 71, Newton, died Februaryu 23, 1991 at the Halstead Hospital. She was born April 26, 1919 at Sedgwick, Kansas, the daughter of Irl C. and Elizabeth Bence Adams. She married Leonard Hoffer September 14, 1941 at Halstead. She was a homemaker.

She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, the Lydia Circle, the Ruth Guild, Lutheran Chaplain Auxiliary and Ladies Aid, and the Extension Homemakers Unit Twice Ten, all of Newton.

Survivors: husband of the home; three sons, Bruce Hoffer, Wichita; Kevin Hoffer, Marion, Kansas and Gary Hoffer, Alameda, California; two brothers, Robert E. Adams, Bluebell, Pennsylvania and Herbert L. Adams, Millington, Tennessee; sister, Elizabeth Starosta, Dodge City, Kansas and two grandchildren.

Services were held Tuesday at the Zion Lutheran Church, Newton. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery, Newton, Kansas
