Obituary

Sam Koehn, 65, Newton, a former Halstead resident, died November 4, 1991 at Park City, Kansas. He was born January 4, 1926 at Halstead, the son of Simon D. and Helen Unruh Koehn. He moved to Newton from rural Halstead 1 1/2 years ago. He was a retired farmer.

On September 27, 1947 he married Frieda Mae Blosser at Hutchinson. She died July 12, 1991.

Survivors: one son, Robert B. Koehn, Longville, Louisiana, one daughter, Peggy S. Kelley, Park City; two brothers, Leo Koehn, Halstead and Elmer Koehn, Charlottesville, Virginia; three sisters, Julia Becker, Galva; Mary Koehn, Moundridge and Johanne Armendariz, DeRidder, Louisiana and five grandchildren.

Services were scheduled for Wednesday at Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead, conducted by the Rev. Kenneth Smith. Burial will be in the Halstead Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the Hospice of Sedgwick County.
