Obituary

Virginia R. McGinn, 72, rural Sedgwick, Kansas, died January 7, 1991 at Halstead Hospital. She was born July 2, 1918 at Blackwell, Oklahoma, the daughter of Paul and Merle Blading Fair. She married Samuel John McGinn November 7, 1943 at Wichita. He died November 1, 1989. She was a former school teacher in Sedgwick and a retired employee of the Wichita Union Livestock Yards. She had been a resident of Sedgwick for 50 years.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church; Altar Society and the Halstead Hospital Auxillary, all of Halstead.

Survivors: four sons, Michael J. McGinn, Sedgwick; S. Thomas McGinn, Wichita; Paul David McGinn, Springfield, Missouri and James E. McGinn, Halstead; sister, Eleanor Tankersley, Abilene, Texas; and eitht grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Willis.

Rosary was Wednesday at Peterson's Funeral Home Chapel in Newton and funeral mass will be Thursday, January 10 at the Church with Father James Eatough. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, rural Sedgwick.
