Obituary

Helene W. Smith, 88, died March 20, 1991 at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita. She was born July 3, 1902 at Moundridge, the daughter of William Frederick and Julianna Krieger Pjesky. A resident of Wichita for 15 years, moving there from Halstead, she was a homemaker. She married Henry B. Smith on June 8, 1922 at Cherokee, Oklahoma. He died June 5, 1965. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Wichita.

Survivors: two daughters, Alice Wendling, Wichita and Norma Jean Suenram, San Bernadino, California; sister, Augusta Fulton, California; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Graveside services were held Saturday morning at the Halstead Cemetery. Burial was in Halstead Cemetery.
