Obituary

Lorene Stahlheber, 61, Newton, died April 5, 1991 at Newton Medical Center. She was born May 16, 1929 in Newton, the daughter of E. C. "Tex" and Berniece Brown Foster. She married Arnold E. Stahlheber of Halstead August 31, 1947 in Newton. He died September 29, 1989. Mrs. Stahlheber was a retired senior systems analyst for Metropolitan Life Insurance of Wichita and had received credit for classes in the Fellow in the Life Management Institute program. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Newton and belonged to Ruth Guild and Dorcus. She was also a sponsor of the Youth Club and a Sunday School teacher. She also belonged to the Christian Womens Club.

Survivors: son, Scott Stahlheber, Victorville, California; two daughters, Susan Grabaszewski, San Bernadino, California and Jane Stahlheber, San Diego, Clifornia; sister, Jeane Justice, Topeka, Kansas and six grand children.

Services were held Monday morning at the Zion Lutheran Church, conducted by the Rev. Gil Holstein. Burial was at Greenwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the elevator fund at the church or to the American Cancer Society.
