Obituary

Edwin R. Tarman, 77, Halstead, died May 3, 1991 at Halstead. He was born July 14, 1913 at Augusta, Kansas, the son of Ray and Ida Mae Fresh Tarman. He was a Halstead resident for 60 years. He was a retired oil field worker. He was a member of the First Prebyterian Church, Halstead.

In November 1932, he married Thelma Payne at Newton. She survives. Other survivors: three sons, Joe Tarman, Edmund, Oklahoma; Robert Tarman, Wichita and Michael Tarman, Wichita Falls, Texas; two brothers, Eldon Tarman and Robert Tarman, both of Augusta; three sisters, Isabella Blandin, Aztec, N.M.; Catherine Davis, Winfield, and Wanda Shipman, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Edwina Kay Tarman on September 9, 1965.

Services were held Wednesday at Kaufman Funeral Home. Burial was in the Halstead Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the Cerebral Palsy Foundation in care of the funeral home.
