Obituary

Mabel Unruh, 79, longtime Halstead resident, died November 15, 1991 at Showalter Villa, Hesston. She was born May 28, 1912 at Montezuma, the daughter of Andrew and Susie Jantz Unruh. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Mennonite Church, Halstead.

On April 14, 1931 she married Benjamin B. Unruh at Meade. He died December 6, 1981. Survivors include five sons; Bennie Unruh and Allen Unruh, both of Halstead; Harold Unruh, Boise, Idaho; Raleigh Untuh and Douglas Unruh, both of Wichita; two daughters, Shirley Parsens, Shawnee and Karen Chaffee, Newton; two sisters, Alice Yost, Montezuma and Ida Schmidt, Clarksdale, Mississippi; 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Services were held Monday at the First Mennonite Church, Halstead, conducted by the Rev. John H. Waltner. Burial was in the Halstead Cemetery. Memorial to American Cancer Society.
