Findley, Neldra F.

Halstead Independent

Nedra F. Finley, 69, Burrton, died February 2, 1992 at Oakwood Villa Care Center, Hutchinson. She was born June 23, 1931 at Wichita, the daughter of Lloyd and Edith Purdem Cox. A Burrton resudent since 1953, moving from Hutchinson, she was a homemaker. She married Fred R. Findley at Hutchinson May 25, 1952. He survives.

Mrs. Findley was a member of the United Methohdist Church, Burrton. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Halstead and the Hutchinson Women of the Moose Chapter No. 1371. She had held several Eastern Star offices, serving as past Worthy Matron of Burrton in 1965, past Worthy Matron of Mt. Hope in 1979, 1981, 1982 and past Grand Representative to the State of New Mexico in 1984.

Other survivors: son, Earl Findley, Burrton; brother, Carl Cox, Springfield, Missouri; two sisters, Clarice Sheffler and Carol Keever, both of Hutchinson and three grandchildren.

Services were held Wednesday morning at Johnson and Sons Memorial Chapel, Hutchinson. Graveside service was conducted by the Order of the Eastern Star at the Burrton Cemetery.
