Obituary

Kenneth Lloyd Koehn, 53, Halstead, died March 20, 1992 at Newton Medical Center. He was born November 6, 1938 at Halstead, the son of William and Laurine T. Becker Koehn and was the adopted son of Frances A. Cheatum. He graduated from Emporia State University in 1960 with a music degree. A longtime resident of Halstead, he was a salesman for the Environmental Systems Co. He was the Halstead city administrator from 1979 to 1984 and was also a former school teacher.

He was a member of the First Mennonite Church, Halstead, and the Elks Lodge, Newton.

He married Nancy Bridgeeman Killfoil at Newton on March 10, 1984. Survivors besides his wife; two sons, Troy Koehn, Omaha, Nebraska and Steve Killfoil, Greenwood, Mississippi; two daughters, Lori Stults, Valley Center and Lisa Killfoil, Halstead; four brothers, Innes Koehn, Salina; Dale Koehn, Miami, Florida; Wayne Koehn, Ulysses and Jerry Koehn, Mountainview, Missouri and three grandchildren.

Services were held Monday afternoon at Kaufman Funeral Home. Burial was in the Halstead Cemetery.
